Fortnite’s first major update in Season 7 is now live. In Update 17.10, it seems that players who were curious about the ever-present mothership should be happy to know that they could be teleported inside.
The Alien Abductors’ mothership looms over certain areas in the map and it will occasionally send beams of light to the ground. Upon walking in them, you will be teleported to the spaceship. But what secrets will you find inside?
Players can see the locations of the Alien Abductors on the map. It is worth noting that they visit in cycles, so if you want to be abducted, you have to be on the lookout for them.
In addition, because the Abductors’ ship only has a limited amount of space, only a fixed number of players can get abducted at once.
Abductees can grab “orange-looking orbs” while inside the ship and the more of them you collect, the better the rewards you are going to get. Some abductees tend to come back to the ground with more powerful weapons, so be sure to grab them while you can.
Take note that the Alien Abductors are not available in competitive playlists. While you wait for the beams of light, you should also be on the lookout for Alien Parasites as they can latch onto you, dealing damage over time.
The Thanos Cup
Marvel fans will be happy to know that the Thanos skin is up again in Fortnite. Players can log in and compete in the Thanos Cup. Not only will you get a chance for the Thanos Outfit, but also the chance of grabbing the Infinity Gauntlet Back Bling.
Super Level Styles
New Silver, Gold, and Prismatic pages have been added to the Bonus Rewards section of the Battle Pass. Players will have the chance to unlock new skins for Zyg, Sunny, Guggimon, Doctor Slone, and Rick Sanchez.
Upon reaching Level 100, players can go past that to unlock more new styles for their favorite Battle Pass characters.
Major Bug Fixes
The update has fixed these bugs in the game:
- Fixed an issue that allowed players to take damage through cars while in motion
- Fixed an issue where the devs had to temporarily disable the ability to change loot pools in the Battle Lab. This ability has been re-enabled.
- Fixed an issue preventing Doctor Slone and Bunker Jonesy’s entries from completing in the Character Collection Book
