For most video games, the arrival of a new season means the introduction of new content, bug fixes, and performance improvements. But Epic Games is taking things to the next level with Chapter 2 Season 7 of Fortnite, which arrives next week through v.17.00 update. The main improvement that players can experience is the upgraded visuals for PC.
The Fortnite Team revealed that the changes are focused on Epic and High settings. In particular, players will notice that the improved storm and cloud effects make for a new experience not only in battle royale but also in Creative modes. There are improved simulations for liquid and smoke as well.
Other cool changes include better post-processing features for bloom and lens flares. In fact, even shadow quality has been enhanced.
Exciting as all these may be, the Epic setting needs higher device specifications to offer optimal performance. High setting, meanwhile, is going to be equivalent to Epic settings before v17.00. For both Low and Medium settings, they remain the same even in the new update.
