Daenerys’ trip to King’s Landing won’t come without a fight in Game of Thrones Season 7 . It looks like the Mother of Dragons may have some issues on land before she sails to Westeros.
Los Siete Reinos (via Watchers on The Wall) reports Malpartida de Cáceres, Spain will be the site of an upcoming battle that will feature at least one dragon. Production will reportedly begin Nov. 14 and run through Dec. 15, so hopefully potential set photos will reveal more information about the battle.
HBO’s Game of Thrones has officially moved out of territory covered by the book and it’s not clear if the battle in question takes place in King’s Landing or another location. Spain has also been the location of Dorne, a kingdom that’s aligned themselves with Daenerys. It’s possible Euron Greyjoy might try to attack Daenerys before she reaches King’s Landing.
Watchers on The Wall reported earlier in September Euron will possibly succeed in aligning himself with Cersei Lannister to derail Daenerys from taking over King’s Landing. After all, Euron doesn’t really care about Daenerys; he desperately wants to sit on the Iron Throne. Euron may even go as far as killing one of the Sand Snakes to prove his loyalty to Cersei.
Still, if Euron and Cersei want to destroy Daenerys, they’ll have to figure out a way to kill the dragons. It’s possible, but extremely difficult. Daenerys also has Yara and Theon Greyjoy, two people who have enough insight into Euron’s madness to brutally take him down.
