Microsoft’s Games With Gold program had a pretty fantastic line-up of titles for December. Unfortunately, the momentum couldn’t carry over to January as well. Four games are being offered in January, as per usual, but don’t get too excited.

Xbox One Games

First up for Xbox One in January is World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap. This game is a tower defense game with “strong action RPG elements.” World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap will be available to download from Jan. 1 to Jan. 31.

The second game Xbox One owners will receive in January is Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition. Season 2 of the fighting game comes with eight characters including Maya and TJ Combo, eight bonus costumes, and the full version of the original Killer Instinct 2. Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition will be available to download from Jan. 16 to Feb. 15.

Xbox 360 Games

First up for the Xbox 360 (and also the Xbox One via Backward Compatibility) is The Cave. This adventure game from legendary game developer Ron Gilbert is as fun a game as it is funny and dark. The Cave will be available from Jan. 1 to Jan. 15.

The last game offered in January for Xbox 360 is Rayman Origins. This 2D platformer is co-op compatible, with up to four friends all playing together. Rayman Origins will be free from Jan. 16 to Jan. 31.
