Genshin Impact announced that Version 1.5 is arriving on April 28. Titled as “Beneath the Light of Jadeite,” it goes deeper into the Liyue with Zhongli. This new update is available on PC, Android, iOS, and PlayStation.
New Stories
Genshin Impact revealed that the upcoming update offers players the chance to spend time with the game’s characters. This should result in new stories while also having players learn more about the past. For example, players who want to know about Liyue can pick up where the story left off with Zhongli. Meanwhile, back in Mondstadt, players can continue the story with Noelle. They can even take some time with Diona, the bartender of The Cat's Tail, through a series of Hangout Events.
New Characters
Version 1.5 is also set to introduce two new playable characters:
- Eula (Five-Star)
- A Spindrift Knight and Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company.
- Wields a claymore and the power of Cryo in order to deal AoE damage.
- Increases her resistance to interruption with her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst.
- Yanfei (Four-Star)
- Pyro-using catalyst wielder.
- Half-human and half-illuminated-beast who dedicated her life to studying, interpreting, and advising her clients on Liyue's laws.
Two new enemies are coming as well in Version 1.5. The first is the new Trounce Domain opponent, Azhdaha, also known as the “Lord of Vishaps.” In addition to fierce attacks, he can use multiple elements and can even alter the terrain of the battlefield. It may be difficult but those who defeat him can get rare rewards.
The second is a new Boss Enemy that arrives in Dragonspine in Cryo Hypostasis. Like other enemies of the Hypostasis series, this new boss has a rather unique attack pattern. Once defeated though Cryo Hypostasis rewards players with precious resources that include Character Level-Up Materials.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play RPG where players are taken to the world of Teyvat and experience open-world action. Players take on the role of the “Traveler,” a character that’s shrouded in mystery and is on a journey to find their sibling. Along the way, they also learn more about Teyvat and the secrets it’s hiding.
Teyvat has seven major cities but for now, players are limited to Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor. These two cities have their own stories and unique cultures. Each one also has large surrounding landscapes which come with a wide range of creatures and monsters. Several secrets and hidden treasures are available for everyone to discover.
Genshin Impact is rated T for Teen on PC, PS4, and Google Play while 12+ on the Apple App Store.
