New Islands
The news of this upcoming update is sure to make a lot of players happy considering that Version 2.0 was just released last month. When that update dropped, the main storyline was focused on the Traveler, the Electro Archon, the different factions, and even the people of Inazuma. For the upcoming update, players get to experience the final chapter of the Archon Quest. In this one, players will visit islands. The first is Watatsumi Island, which is where the resistance forces are based. The second is Seirai Island, a region that appears to be covered in perpetual storms.
New Characters
As mentioned, three new playable characters will arrive and these are:
- Raiden Shogun
- A five-star Electro polearm user that can deal massive damage while also giving helpful buffs to the team.
- Sangonomiya Kokomi
- A five-star character that serves as the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island and leader of the resistance forces.
- She wields the power of Hydro and is a catalyst, providing a good amount of healing to teammates.
- Kujou Sara
- A general of the Tenryou Commission loyal to the Shogun.
- She can deal solid Electro ranged attacks using her bow while also giving buffs to her teammates.
In addition, Story Quests of both Raiden Shogun and Kokomi will be made available.
While not really a new character, Aloy is joining the game as a five-star character. For those new to the game, Aloy was the first crossover character from “Savior From Another World.” This character is free for players who have reached at least Adventure Rank 20.
Moonchase Festival
Players can also expect the Moonchase Festival to arrive next season. During the festival period, everyone gets to reunite with Keqing and Xiangling. Players who participate can earn rewards that can be exchanged for useful resources. There are also in-game rewards handed out in the new daily login event.
New Activity
Another thing that players can look forward to in Version 2.1 is fishing. That’s right, players can now go fish and catch different types across Teyvat. Fishes can be used to produce fish meat or exchange for rewards.
