The critically-acclaimed, God of War (2018), launches on PC, January 14. It seems like this title is not just a simple port. Instead, the developer has put some real effort into it. A trailer released yesterday revealed all the new features that PC players can expect.
New Features and Controller Support
Just like any other respectable PC port, you can expect uncapped FPS, 4K resolution, ultra-widescreen support, and robust keyboard and mouse support. That’s not all, as new features like DLSS, AMD, and Nvidia Reflex are supported as well.
Sony didn’t leave behind PC players who like controllers. Both PlayStation DUALSHOCK4 and DUALSENSE wireless controllers will work in the game, along with a wide range of other controllers.
Better Visuals
PC players will get the most visually impressive version of the game. The PC port features higher-resolution shadows, improved screen-space reflections, enhanced GTAO and SSDO. Assets in the game are also more detailed.
System Requirements
You can pre-order the game on Steam and Epic Games Store for only $49.99. However, before you go spending your hard-earned money, make sure that your PC can run the game. With the system requirements revealed, nothing is out of the ordinary.
As you would expect, the game only runs on Windows 10 64-bit version 1809 or above. HDD is supported, but the developer highly recommends an SSD.
Other PlayStation-Exclusive Games
In other news, God of War (2018) won’t be the last PS-exclusive that will be coming to PC. Sony has already announced that Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which contains remasters of Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy, will be coming to PC in 2022. Several other PS-exclusive games have also been rumored for PC, including Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Ghost of Tsushima, and Bloodborne.
Now Sony, please release Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and all previous God of War games on PC as well.
