Today is a good day for a PC player. Sony just announced that one of the best PlayStation-exclusives, God of War (2018), is coming to PC. The critically acclaimed title will be released on January 14, 2022. The port was announced via a trailer and a blog post, which reveals some crucial information.
PC Improvements
The PC version of the game will come with a plethora of improvements over the PlayStation version. The game will feature 4K resolution, an unlocked framerate, and 21:9 ultra-widescreen support. Visuals will be improved as well. The PC version will include higher resolution shadows, improved SSR, and superior ambient occlusion.
The game will support DualShock 4 and DualSense wireless controllers along with other gamepads. Full customization for mouse and keyboard will be allowed as well.
That’s not all though as the developer has more to offer for Nvidia users. Players with RTX cards can utilize Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), meaning a massive gain in performance for a little visual sacrifice. The Nvidia Reflex low latency technology will be supported as well.
Other PS-Exclusive Games Coming to PC
God of War (2018) isn’t the only PS-exclusive game coming to PC. Sony announced previously that Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves will release for PC in early 2022. The Legacy of Thieves will feature remasters of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy standalone expansion pack. The remasters will first arrive in PS5, followed by the PC port.
One more highly-anticipated title, Bloodborne, has been rumored to get a PC release. The recent leaks suggest that the PC port is ready and Bluepoint Games is currently developing a remaster of Bloodborne along with a full-fledged sequel. However, keep in mind that there has not been an official announcement. So, take this with a grain of salt.
