Nvidia seems to be a victim of the biggest leak of 2021 in the gaming industry. Ighor July, a C++ programmer, claimed to have data-mined a massive list of games from Nvidia Servers. The list is mentioned for GeForce Now, the subscription service that streams games directly to your PC.
God of War Steam Release
The list mentioned several PlayStation exclusive games. One of them is the critically acclaimed title, God of War (2018). The leak reveals that God of War will launch on PC via Steam. You can check the page of the game in the video below at time stamp 8:07. You can also check out the data miner's webpage.
Keep in mind that this is not an actual confirmation from the developer. So take this with a grain of salt.
Other PS-Exclusive Games
The leak mentions several other exclusive games like Ghost of Tsushima, Returnal, and Demon’s Souls Remake. However, those games didn’t have a “Steam” tag on them. It could be that Nvidia and Sony are thinking about a partnership to stream games via GeForce Now, instead of a direct PC port. But only time will tell I guess.
God of War (2018) PC release might not be such a far-fetched idea. The developer of the game, Santa Monica Studios, is already working on a sequel that will be released next year. The PC version will certainly help generate more hype. This is also not the first time the GOW PC version was mentioned.
Several other PS-exclusive games have already been released on PC including Death Stranding, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Days Gone. Sony has also confirmed that Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which contains U4 and The Lost Legacy, will arrive on PC next year.
Leak is True
We know for sure that this leak is real after Nvidia already confirmed it. However, the tech giant claimed that the games mentioned are just “speculative titles, used only for internal tracking and testing.” This means that not all games on the list are coming to PC.
