Google's streaming service has just been revealed at GDC. Called Stadia, the service allows players to stream AAA-quality games to any Google Chrome browser. More information about Stadia will be announced as the GDC presentation rolls on.
Stadia Games List
This list will update when more information is announced. The games seen during the Stadia demo are as follows. Not all were confirmed, though.
- Assassin's Creed Odyssey
- DOOM (2016)
- DOOM Eternal
- A new Q-Games game
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
That was it! There really weren't any major game announcements or reveals during the event. We do know Google has its own first-party studio now, headed by Jade Raymond. More games will be revealed at a later date.
When can we expect to see these announcements? It was confirmed that Stadia will launch later this year. That means we can probably expect to see game announcements and updates around E3 in June. It's also likely we'll see third-party developers make announcements for Stadia during their press conferences as well.
So what do you think? Are you interested in trying out Stadia for yourself? Do you think this is the end of traditional consoles? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
