While the current Gran Turismo Sport car roster prefers modern racing cars, Polyphony has added some classics in the past, most notably the MKIV Supra in last month's 1.11 patch update. Thankfully, it looks like the trend of iconic '90s Japanese sports cars will continue with the 1991 Acura NSX.
Via redditor Sh1ckDits, a bizarre glitch in a Sport Mode match revealed a grid full of Acura NSX '91 models driven by anonymous Canadian drivers. The entries on the grid suggest it's a generic placeholder that the redditor shouldn't have stumbled upon. And since the Acura NSX begins with the letter A, it would be the first vehicle sorted in the GT Sport car list. Either way, the shared images tell us we've got an exciting machine to come.
The '91 NSX previously appeared in Gran Turismo 6, but it'll be the first time we'll see the car rendered in gorgeous PS4 pro-era glory. Of course, there will also be other cars that will join the NSX in the coming updates—Polyphony CEO Kazunori Yamauchi suggests the game will add 50 extra cars to GT Sport's list by March 2018. Stay tuned as we expect to learn more in the weeks ahead.
