Despite the fact that GTA V has been out for years, people are STILL finding new things hidden in the game. The most recent discovery is a new cell phone cheat that doesn't really do much. Check out a video of the cheat in action below.
The video comes to us courtesy of IGN. To access the cheat for yourself, you must be playing in single-player mode. From here, pull up your cell phone as any character, and type in the following phone number:
1-999-367-3767
Once that has been entered, call the number. You'll see a strange explosion off in the distance, with NPCs on the street running away in fear. This explosion doesn't really do anything else, so don't worry about accidentally triggering a 5-star police assault or anything.
Outside of the explosion, if you pull up your phone again, it has changed models. Why? Well, nobody is really sure. Entering the number again doesn't do anything else, so this is clearly just a one-time cheat.
It is possible that this cheat was supposed to have linked to something else, or was an idea that was never completed. This seems to be the case seeing as how there aren't any other results of entering the cheat, especially given that the cheat doesn't repeat if you enter it multiple times.
Given developer Rockstar's history with secrets and other hidden things, we will never get an official word from them on this cheat. So enjoy this for what it is, a fun little distraction that you can try out for yourself.
