Episodes From Liberty City consists of two stand-alone DLC expansions to GTA IV. The Lost and the Damned revolves around a motorcycle gang and The Ballad of Gay Tony is about the bodyguard for Anthony “Gay Tony” Prince. GTA IV is not required to play either expansion.
So what does a rating for Xbox One mean? This is probably just part of the Backward Compatibility program. Rockstar has already made Red Dead Redemption and Bully backward compatible, so is likely looking for more games to get added to the program. If this trend continues, GTA IV could be next. Seeing as how GTA V is also an Xbox One game itself, the 360 version is likely not to be added to the program.
As for what’s next from Rockstar, we already know Red Dead Redemption 2 is in the works and scheduled for a release this fall, and we can probably expect more updates to GTA Online. As far as a new GTA game, don’t hold your breath.
So what do you think? Are you excited to play through Episodes From Liberty City again on your Xbox One? What other games do you want to see get added to the Backward Compatibility program? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
