The latest Adversary mode for GTA Online has been released, and if you’re a fan of early 80s sci-fi (or the 2010 reboot), then things will be looking pretty familiar.
The game mode, called Deadline, is pretty much Tron’s lightcycles. Players will get futuristic Shotaro Light Cycles to drive around the Electronic Arena, which looks like a rooftop. Just like in Tron, players get eliminated if they come into contact with the light tracers from an opponent’s light cycle.
There are also power ups players can pick up. While not elaborated on in the video, it looks like there will be a handful of different kinds of power ups. One seems to be a speed boost, and another could be some kind of time-altering power.
The best part about Deadline: It’s available to play right now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. To start playing, make sure you have the most recent update for GTA Online, then get in and find a game.
If you’re looking to own a Shotaro Light Cycle to cruise around in outside of the Deadline mode, you better get to saving your money. Reports say the motorcycle will cost $2.4 Million in GTA$. That makes it more expensive than the Progen T20 supercar. Even with that pricetag, the Light Cycle isn’t even the fastest motorcycle in the game.
So what do you think? Are you excited to try out Deadline when you next play GTA Online? What other game modes would you like to see included in future updates? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
