One of the new features coming exclusively to the long-awaited PC version of GTA V is the Rockstar Editor. This new mode will allow for players to set up and act out scenes with GTA V characters, then record the action and even edit it to their liking.
If you are unfamiliar with making digital movies, or want to see what features are included in the new mode, Rockstar has released both an online tutorial as well as a video to show off some of the basics. The video introduces players to the Rockstar Editor and gives a brief overview of the camera options, filters, and environmental settings available. The online tutorial goes more in-depth, offering information on how to specifically make projects. There is also some instruction on how to edit your clips together to create scenes.
The online guide can be found on the Rockstar Social Club website. When editing, the most important thing to know about is what Rockstar calls "Markers." These are the points that you can decide in any clip to switch to a different camera angle, change playback speeds, or change filters. Markers can be added at any point in a clip by pressing the 'M' key. For the full section on Markers and what you can do with them, make sure you read the Marker section of the online guide.
There are also audio options for you to edit with. Unfortunately only the songs from GTA V radio stations or the GTA V original score can be used while in the Rockstar Editor, but clips can be exported for you to use on a separate editing software if you want other tunes for your GTA V movies.
