Attention wizards! Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is launching a new event this August that takes everyone back in time. How far back? All the way back to the 1920s.
The 1920s Wizarding World Convergence has everyone visit the Circus Arcanus, Paris Street, and even Newt’s Menagerie. This event is going to be on August 7 from 12:01 AM to 11:59 PM, local time. By the way, this is the first of two such events for the month.
For those wondering what this has to do with the Harry Potter universe, it’s based on the spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Unlike the usual events players have been getting, the ones in the 1920s Wizarding World Convergences are from a completely different period in time. Players can look forward to a new Registry family, which is the 1920s Wizarding World. It’s going to offer three new registry pages: Newt’s Menagerie, Circus Arcanus, and Paris Street. For each of the Registry pages, there are four new stickers where players can meet new characters and of course, fantastic beasts.
Some events feature unique Portmanteaus which gives players a peek into the past. For example, are you interested in learning what other secrets are hidden from Muggles? Go down to Newt’s Suitcase and discover the different beasts inside. Ever wondered how the magic government of the US works? Drop by the MACUSA lobby. Those who want to see some interesting performances can try the Circus Arcanus.
By the way, those who can collect five Wrackspurts from the Portkeys get rewarded with a 1920s Encounter.
The unique Portmanteaus are only available during the 1920s Wizarding World Convergence events. To unlock a 1920s Portkey Portmanteau, simply insert a Key before the timer runs out. Once it’s opened, there’s an exclusive 1920s Wizarding World Encounter as well as other valuable rewards. Any 1920s Portkey Portmanteau without a Key will disappear after the main event ends.
