The full version of Hero of Aethric is now available on Android and iOS devices. This turn-based MMORPG has been in early access for two months where it managed to have more than 800,000 players. With this full launch, players can look forward to new features like a rogue-lite inspired endgame system, new explorable zones, and a large number of quality-of-life changes.
Hero of Aethric is inspired by classic JRPGs but has been modernized with live-service and multiplayer functionality. Players go on an adventure in a pixel-art fantasy world while slowly uncovering a land ravaged by a cataclysmic event. Along the way, players fight various monsters to obtain unique loot and level up characters to unlock more than 50 new classes. Players can also come up with their own unique builds through a loadout of gear and spells.
Other features include the full co-op support for up to four players. It's also possible to find friends through the guild system called Kingdoms, which offer up unique raids to players.
Towers of Olympia
As a live service title, the game has unique events, features and cosmetics that are released each month. For example, the recently released patch titled Towers of Olympia introduces 22 new alternative endgame classes to allow for a more diverse character expression.
Meanwhile, the titular game mode Towers of Olympia let players climb a rogue-lite inspired dungeon to try and defeat a Titan waiting for them at the top floor.
More Changes
Other changes introduced in the new patch include Unfelled Recruitment where players can get a promo code that they can share with friends. Once the code is used and the new player proves their Heroism, the player who shared the promo code receives a point toward new sprite rewards.
Players should be happy to know that the daily quest system is reworked and now more focused. There are now five main daily quests available and each offers a unique reward that lasts until the daily reset. These rewards include a bonus to gold earned, Orns earned, a daily luck bonus, a boost to movement speed, and an XP bonus.
