Just as expected, Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the many PlayStation 4 exclusives to appear during Sony’s latest PlayStation Press Conference. And I’m not sure there’s another game being shown this year that’ s got me half as hyped as I am for next year’s Horizon Zero Dawn debut.
Our latest glimpse of the upcoming open-world title was easiest the biggest we’ve been treated to since Horizon Zero Dawn was announced last summer. In fact, it’s kind of overwhelming to think about just how much we learned from our latest look at HZD and how much more will be uncovered when the community finishes analyzing the demo frame-by-frame. We got to see Aloy taking down more of the robotic dinosaurs that inexplicably roam the Earth in Horizon Zero Dawn, even reprogramming one to serve as her mount in another fight. We also got an early glimpse of the game’s looting and crafting mechanics, which let Aloy combine parts from her defeated foes to make new weapons and tools.
Mechanical revelations aside, Horizon Zero Dawn is easily one of the best looking games that we’ve been shown during the final countdown to this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. The sprawling fields and meadows in Guerrilla Games open-world debut were so beautiful that most of the iDigitalTimes staff sat in stunned silence during Horizon Zero Dawn portion of this year’s Playstation Press Conference. Seriously, it looks that good.
Don’t believe me?
