Black Canary is the latest fighter to join Injustice 2 and now that she is in the online beta, players can see her interactions with the other fighters, which give hints as to her part in the overall Injustice 2 story.
As we saw when the Injustice 2 online beta was first released, the story seems to revolve around Supergirl and the tug of war between Batman and Superman. But how does Black Canary fit into the overall story?
Her dialogue and interactions paint a picture of what she may have been up to after the first Injustice game and the circumstances surrounding her introduction to Injustice 2. Take a look at a video compilation of Black Canary’s interactions below.

BLACK CANARY THOUGHT TO BE DEAD
The most important character interaction with Black Canary is between her and Superman. Before the events of the first Injustice , it was known that Superman killed Green Arrow.
Black Canary and Superman had a confrontation about that, which leads Superman to believe that Dinah is dead. Dinah even says that she has the heat vision scars to prove it. This is made apparent with Superman saying he thought she died and that she shouldn’t have come back.
BIRDS OF PREY
Black Canary is a staple in the all-female group, The Birds of Prey, and the group is mentioned when Dinah talks with Blue Beetle.
Dinah says Jamie is crazy for declining Oracle’s offer and Blue Beetle is shocked to discover Black Canary is a part of the group. With Harley Quinn confirmed to return and Poison Ivy joining the fight, perhaps they are also part of the Birds of Prey, and maybe there will be more members of the group coming to Injustice 2 .
Her interaction with the Blue Beetle also seems to suggest that she is a big part of Batman’s team.
BATMAN’S RIGHT-HAND WOMAN
Dinah’s interactions with Batman shows Bruce is happy that Dinah has returned to fight and in another interaction he makes it clear that he feels she isn’t ready to come back and fight.
This leads to Black Canary and Blue Beetle having one more exchange of dialogue that would suggest that Dinah is training heroes to join Batman’s cause. Black Canary tells the young hero that she will test him to see if he is ready to fight.
Guess she convinced Batman that she’s ready to go to war against Superman.
