The latest new character added to Injustice 2 ’s roster is Swamp Thing, the powerful protector of the environment in the DC Universe.
Swamp Thing’s gameplay trailer for Injustice 2 debuted on IGN and shows the role the character plays in the upcoming sequel to the popular fighting game. Check out the first footage of Swamp Thing in Injustice 2 below.
In the gameplay trailer, we see Swamp Thing using his control over plant life to extend his limbs, create wooden weapons, like staffs and shields, and even create clones of himself to get the jump on his opponents.
There’s a lot of grabbing and throwing in Swamp Thing’s repertoire, giving the character a Bane-like fighting style but with projectiles. And Swampy’s ultimate attack is one of the most brutal in the game so far.
Swamp Thing joins Black Canary, Blue Beetle, Poison Ivy, Darkseid, Deadshot, Atrocitus and Brainiac as the newest fighters to join Injustice 2 who weren’t in the original game.The Injustice 2 roster bolsters the aforementioned new comers but also returning characters like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Harley Quinn and Bane.
Injustice 2 will release May 16.
