Publisher Krafton is bringing the early access of its The Sims-like life simulator inZOI to Steam on Mar. 28, 2025, featuring beautiful Unreal Engine 5 graphics.
The studio has described the upcoming game as a potential usurper of the currently available The Sims 4. The launch of the early access period for inZOI comes after it was initially slated to come out this year.
inZOI Early Access
Krafton also released a free character editor to the public in August 2024 that many people actually enjoyed and had fun with. However, others are more eager to try out inZOI's driveable cars, editable city, and planned support for mods at launch.
Producer and director of inZOI Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim posted on Discord and talked a little bit about the delay with the game's delay. He noted that it took a lot of effort to raise a human child to adulthood among primates.
He added that this was even more particularly difficult and challenging because humans have to be prepared to endure and adapt to their continuously evolving environments.
Kjun also said that the extra love and care that they had to give inZOI resulted in its release being pushed back, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.
Kjun then said that the change in the game's release date represented their dedication to giving the life simulator a stronger foundation to stand on. This is so that they are able to go on a long journey with fans in the best way possible.
Competing With The Sims 4
He also noted that until the release date for inZOI, they will continue to work on improving areas that need attention. They will strive to make the game something that will truly capture the essence of the life simulation genre.
The game's director and producer also expressed his gratitude to fans for their engagement with inZOI.
He added that people's responses and feedback made them realize that they had a responsibility to make the game as complete an experience as possible, PCGamer said.
Kjun added that they had reviewed player feedback from the limited time character editor and analyzed vast data from previous playtests.
He said that all of this resulted in them thinking that delaying the early access release of inZOI to Mar. 28, 2025, was the best thing moving forward.
He apologized to fans who had been eager to try out inZOI this year for not being able to bring the life simulator to life just yet. However, he noted that the decision reflects the team's commitment to giving the game the best possible start, according to Insider Gaming.
