The Last of Us Part 1 has been a victim of many leaks, even more than its sequel. The existence of the remake was itself leaked more than a year before the official announcement.
Leaked Cutscene
Recently, the game suffered from another leak, revealing a cutscene. The Redditor claimed that Tom Henderson leaked the video and later deleted it as it contained heavy spoilers. However, the internet never forgets, and you can check out the video here if you don’t mind spoilers.
If you think the cutscene looks a little weird, you are correct. This footage seems taken from the version that was early in development. While all the animation and voice acting is complete, the background is empty and the lighting appears very off. I am sure that the final product doesn’t look like this, as officially revealed cutscenes are miles ahead.
Release Date, PC Port, and Pre-Order
The Last of Us Part 1 is less than a month away, with the remake coming to PS5 on September 2. If you can pre-order the game, you'll get pre-order bonuses. Several different editions are available, ranging from $69.99 to $99.99. A PC version has also been confirmed and will be released “very soon” after the initial launch.
Upcoming Multiplayer Game
Fans of The Last of Us franchise have much more to look forward to. Naughty Dog is developing a AAA multiplayer game based on the TLOU universe, and many fans call it The Last of Us Factions. However, its official name hasn’t been confirmed, and more info about it should launch next year.
