Bandai Namco Entertainment America released a new trailer for Unknown 9: Awakening which gives us a closer look at the story and setting of the game. It features none other than the protagonist Haroona.

For those who couldn't watch the new trailer, it shows us that Haroona has always relied on the teachings of her beloved mentor when it comes to master her abilities that's related to the Fold. The Fold is a mysterious dimension that has overlapped with our own.
Training with Reika
Going back to the trailer, we learn further that ever since Haroona was a child, she had been trained by Reika when it comes to the intricacies of this other dimension. Reika has also been tutoring Haroona on the unknown and mysterious elements of the world. Then there are the stories of the enigmatic immortal figures known as the Unknown 9 who are said to look over all knowledge of humanity.
Stopping Vincent
All of the training though comes to an end when a certain Vincent Lichter makes the decision to take Reika's life. Vincent was actually a former study of Reika and now as the leader of the Ascendants, believes that the Unknown 9 have been keeping humanity from realizing its true potential for too long. He wants to free the world from their influence and make sure that humanity is the one controlling its own destiny no matter what the consequences.
The question that remains is whether Haroona can stop Vicent and prevent the best-kept secrets of humanity from falling into the wrong hands?
Unknown 9: Awakening offers a third-person and narrative-driven action-adventure game. Players follow the story of Haroona, a Quaestor born having the ability to venture into the Fold. She's on the quest for powerful hidden knowledge and along the way gets to master her unique connection to the Fold. Of course, using such power doesn't go unnoticed. She catches the attention of a group known as the Ascendants, who want to use the Fold to change the course of human history.
Unknown 9: Awakening launching this fall for the PC via Steam. It's also coming out on consoles through the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X/S.
