Bandai Namco Entertainment America released the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming title Unknown 9: Awakening. With this, we get to have a first look at the gameplay of this narrative action-adventure. It's coming out this summer and to be available for the PC through Steam and consoles PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Meet the Quaestor
In the game, players take on the role of Haroona. She's a truth-seeker, also known as Quaestor, who has a unique connection to another dimension that's known as the Fold. This other plane of existence not only contains powerful energy but also long-lost knowledge that, if brought to light, bring the world in an era of advancement. However, should this forgotten wisdom fall into the wrong hands, it could lead to the inevitable demise of the world.
Determined to avenge the wrongs of her past, Haroona's imminent journey eventually turns out to be more than simply retribution. With the fate of humanity at risk, it is her connection to the Fold that may serve as the key to ensuring the continued existence of the world.
Protecting the World
During the quest, players get to discover the long-lost secrets of the collective past. They'll also learn to tap into the energy of the Fold which give them incredible skills called as Umbric abilities. Of course, there are dangers that players need to keep an eye out for. These include the Ascendants, a dangerous offshoot of a secret society known as the Leap Year Society. This faction says that they want to use the Fold for humankind but have in fact other plans. Remember that even the best of intentions can lead to catastrophe.

Talking about this game, Reflector Entertainment Creative Director Christophe Rossignol said that they're happy to give a peek into the gameplay. He added that this is an exciting for them considering that they've been hard at work on this.
For those who haven't watched the trailer, it shows Haroona Crushing, Pushing, and Pulling people and objects from a distance. It also shows her Shielding herself from enemy fire. We to see as well Haroona do what's called as Steps into her opponents to take control of their minds, bodies, and weapons.
Gaming Debut
By the way, bringing Haroona to life in none other than Anya Chalotra. She's no stranger when it comes to taking on the role of powerful female characters especially in her stint as Yennefer of Vengerberg in The Witcher. As Haroona, this is her first major role in the world of gaming.
