NetherRealm studios launched Mortal Kombat’s final trailer before release, and it's jam-packed with gore and combat, as usual. What we didn’t see coming is the element of time travel being instilled in the story. Oh, and that they'd use the theme song from the original adaptation to go with it.
Warner Bros. Entertainment released a statement about the new game’s plot that revealed that, “Kronika, the Keeper of Time, signals for a new era to begin as she tries to rewind time to its beginning and restart history. In order to restore balance to the realms, players must take on the role of numerous fighters from different eras, culminating in the ultimate generational clash as current characters collide with their past selves.”
As much as the game company tried to avoid it, there has been a leak prior to the launch of the latest trailer. Due to this leak, Mortal Kombat 11’s secret character has been revealed and it’s not who everyone expected it to be: it’s Frost, the apprentice of Sub-Zero who made her appearance in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. There are 25 characters in total including the secret character, Frost.
The whole roster, all game modes, and Frost's fatal blows were revealed by a reddit account named Datrael, who somehow got a PlayStation 4 copy of the game.
