LEGO Worlds, the Minecraft-esque open-world LEGO game from Traveller’s Tales, has been delayed. Before getting too upset, the delay isn’t very long.
As announced on Twitter, the new release date for LEGO Worlds is March 7 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The Switch version is still in the works, but doesn’t have a release date as of yet. The reason for the delay was due to the development team needing more time to refine the game’s open environments.
“Now I know, I said February, but as you will also know, we don’t release something unless we’re happy with it. And until this week, we weren’t happy with a few things that were keeping us from entering Certification,” Chris Rose from Traveller’s Tales said in a post on Steam. “However, with many late nights for our dev team, we're now happy to move ahead and make sure that the release is up to the standard our Early Access players, and ourselves, expect it to be.”
If you happened to support LEGO Worlds while the game was still in Early Access, it was also announced you’ll get a little reward for your loyalty. Those that played on Early Access will get a unique in-game hat to customize your LEGO character. Soundtracks for LEGO Worlds will also be free to those who played on Early Access.
More details about the full launch of LEGO Worlds will be coming between now and March 7.
