Renowned smartphone tipster Evan Blass is at it again: Two new images of the highly anticipated LG G5 flagship smartphone were shared on @evleaks ahead of MWC 2016.
The latest leaked images on Twitter show the alleged front and rear designs of the upcoming LG G5. While the G5 carries over many of the stylistic elements of the popular G4, the changes made to the rear side are the most noticeable.
A smooth capsule-shaped bump on the top of the LG G5 houses dual rear cameras that flank an LED flash. A round fingerprint scanner that is located just below the cameras is exactly where the home button of the previous LG G4 was located.
The front of the new LG G5 features a very sleek, near-bezeless design save for the bar housing the LG logo below. A front-facing camera is just to the right of the top speaker grille. The leaked image also reveals volume rockers on the left as well as a SIM card slot on the lower right hand side.
Hardware-wise, the new LG G5 boasts Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB of RAM. The G5 is also expected to feature a USB Type-C port charger. Unfortunately, the early leaked images do not show us the bottom of the device. Other rumored features include a high-end speaker from the audio experts Bang & Olufsen.
So far, the leaked images show us white and silver color variants. That said, we expect to see more color offerings will be unveiled once LG officially unveils its latest flagship smartphone on Sunday, Feb. 21, at MWC 2016 in Barcelona. Stay tuned as we'll expect to show you a closer look at the LG G5 on Sunday!
