Mabinogi is celebrating its 13th anniversary this month. To commemorate this milestone, several different in-game events will go live beginning March 18. Playing the mini-games allows players to collect prizes. There are also daily rewards and new content.
Mabinogi was initially released to the Korean market in 2004. It was then launched in North America on March 27, 2008.
To take part in this limited-time celebration, players simply need to go to Festia and look for Thirteen, the festival host, to register a main character. Once registered, players get rewards for daily logins. There’s also the 13th Anniversary Coins for Thirteen’s Shop and Festia Entry Passes needed to play mini-games. Players can go to the Dessert Merchant as well to get Cotton Candy and receive a random EXP buff or AP.
For this upcoming celebration, the mini-game players can enjoy include:
- Pop the Balloon
- After arriving at Festia, players can go to Patriot’s limited-time booth and see if they can break the highest balloon-popping record.
- Players will receive Anniversary Coins and Festia Instant Prize Tickets for participating.
- Mysterious Balloons
- Balune the Balloon Artist is asking the players for help.
- Players need to work with Balune to gather materials for more balloons and in return get Instant Revive Balloons.
- Clobbermeister
- Players need to speak to the Clobbermeister Staff at Festia.
- Players are given 20 seconds to deal as much damage as they can to selected punching bags. Once the time is over, players are rewarded with a Festia Commemorative Gift Box and a 13th Anniversary Gift Box.
- Cave of Trials
- Players must meet with Duro the Trialkeeper and enter the Cave of Trials.
- Players are asked to defeat monsters lurking in each cave to advance to the next trial. Beware of the new mysterious boss that’s revealed at the final trial.
During the event, players can arm their characters with stronger Spirit Weapons and can even add as many as three Spirit Transformation Liqueurs. Additionally, the transformations can be applied immediately from the inventory. This allows players to access powerful boosts easily.
In a statement, Nexon America General Manager Kenny Chang shared that they are happy to celebrate the game’s 13th birthday. He added that ever since the game was released in 2008, it has since grown and they are truly excited to celebrate another successful year.
