Madden NFL 23 is now officially released worldwide. Gracing all covers of the game is none other than Coach John Madden. One feature players can look forward to is the FieldSENSE Gameplay System, which can be accessed with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
FieldSENSE delivers deeper realism on the field with animation branching technology that allows "Hit Everything" to redefine interactions on defense. There are also new mechanics, like the 360 Cuts where players can change direction on a dime with ball-carriers. Another is Skill Based Passing, which lets players control where exactly they want to place the ball. Of course, there are also improvements to the core gameplay systems which resulted in a new level of balance with the upgrades to defensive coverages, the pass rush, and containing mobile quarterbacks.
In a statement, EA Sports EVP and Group GM Cam Weber shared that the love Coach Madden had for football has shaped the sport, and they are proud to continue to welcome everyone to the experience that is Madden NFL. Weber added that they’re excited to introduce new fans to the level of authenticity and realistic gameplay in this newest title.
To accurately represent the sights of the NFL and its players, EA partnered not just with the NFL Players Association but also OneTeam Partners. In the game, the player body types, player and coach likeness, and gear were all rebuilt through the new NFL player full body and game day scans, elevating the game’s authenticity.
Meanwhile, the Franchise Mode benefits from the new Free Agency and Contract enhancements, along with the addition of Player Tags and Motivations, which should help in decision making; improvements to Scouting and better Trade Logic added as well. There’s also the Face of the Franchise: The League. Here, fans can select between five skill positions to build a legendary NFL career and try to be part of the Madden NFL 99 Club.
In Madden Ultimate Team, fans have the chance to explore simplified team building and compete when they want while creating their most powerful roster of current and legendary NFL stars.
Madden NFL 23 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
