The Mana Series has reached a new milestone: its 30th anniversary. This franchise had its humble beginning on June 28, 1991. Since then, the franchise has grown to have more than 10 titles.
Known as Seiken Densetsu in Japan, the series is well-known for its characters, story, and music. It’s also known to be the pioneer when it came to an action-oriented approach to combat. The first titles of the series were Final Fantasy Adventure, Secret of Mana, and Trials of Mana.
Today, we take a quick look into some of the games in the series.
Echoes of Mana
This free-to-play action RPG is coming to mobile platforms in 2022. It offers an original story that ties together beloved and new characters of the series. In addition to the enjoyable gameplay, the series is known for, players can also battle with friends through multiplayer mode.

Trials of Mana
Trials of Mana is a remake released back in April 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch. A version for the mobile devices is set to be released this July 15.
The mobile version offers unique features like customizable graphics settings, revamped touch controls, and cloud save capabilities. There’s also a bit of a bonus for mobile players as they can get these pieces of gear:
- Rabite Adornment
- Increases the amount of experience gained in battle until level 17.
- Silktail Adornment
- Increases the amount of lucre gained in battle until level 17.
Pre-registration for the game has already started on Google Play and App Store.
New Anime
Fans are also set to be treated to a new medium with the upcoming release of Legend of Mana - The Teardrop Crystal anime series. Based on the game of the same name, it’s made possible by the collaboration between Warner Bros. Japan, Graphinica, and Yokohama Animation Lab.
The remastered version of Legend of Mana is now available on PC, PS4, and Switch.
