A new update is coming soon to MapleStory and it looks like a big one. That’s because the summer update is divided into two parts. The first one is titled Destiny: Remastered arriving in the game on June 15. It’s not only introducing some special events but also a revamp to Explorer jobs.
While it’s still a few days before the update becomes live, members of the Bean Brigade, the game’s content creator program, are now in the test servers to give players a sneak peek of what's to come.
By the way, those who pre-register a character (must be at least level 61) before June 13 gets a special Destiny gift package which features:
- Lil Symphony pets
- Angelic Alphabet Damage Skin
- Heap of Melody Coins
- Magician of the Sacred Forest outfit
Explorer Revamp
In MapleStory, the Explorer class has long been considered the game’s backbone for the last 17 years. There are 14 unique Explorer jobs and they’re all getting a revamp in terms of animation, skills, and story segments.
This overhaul is set to benefit these characters:
- Hero, Paladin, Dark Knight
- Arch Mage (Fire/Poison), Arch Mage (Ice/Lightning), Bishop
- Bowmaster, Marksman
- Night Lord, Shadower, Dual Blade
- Corsair, Buccaneer, Cannoneer
Special Events
It won’t be summer without special in-game events and players are invited to join a season of music and majesty as new friend Stella arrives to experience the Maple World firsthand. There will be many rewards to collect during the musical summer nights of Starlight Symphony. Players can also look forward to the return of Tera Burning Plus and Burning World.
Game Improvements
This upcoming update also comes with these game improvements:
- No more Mastery Books
- Mastery Books are no longer needed to upgrade 4th Job skills.
- Dawn Boss Accessories set
- Claim a new set of accessories from bosses to forge a powerful new set.
- New Boss Difficulties
- Take on Chosen Seren and Verus Hilla on Normal mode and overcome Will on Easy difficulty.
Summer Update Part Two
Those wondering when part two of the update is coming out, Destiny: Homecoming arrives in the game on July 20. It’s going to introduce a new homestead feature that allows players to decorate their very own homes. There’s also the Watcher Kalos and a chance to get a new Eternal Equipment Set.
MapleStory is available on PC.
