We're less than a month away from the Mass Effect: Andromeda release date in North America on March 21 and in Europe on March 23. Bioware's role playing shooter will arrive on PS4, Xbox One and PC and the developers have finally announced the game has officially gone gold.
The announcement was also followed up by a second tweet that shared Mass Effect: Andromeda PC hardware requirements for the game.
Bioware recommends PC gamers to run Intel Core i7-4790, AMD FX-8350 processors or better, 16 GB RAM or better, Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB or AMD RX 480 4GB or better, and at least 55 GB of free space, the latter of which is pretty much nonnegotiable.
Last Friday, Bioware shared a trailer that highligted some of the combat weapons and skills we will see in Mass Effect: Andromeda. First gun types will be split into four types: pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, and sniper rifles. Of course, each gun can be further modified, offering no restrictions to add-ons like melee hammers or daggers. Weapons will not be class restricted either, yielding players a variety of choice for any playstyle.
Skills in Mass Effect: Andromeda are broken down to three categories: combat, biotic and tech. Combat skills increase with a player's weapons and gear. Available combat skills include Concussive Shot, weapon skills and grenade unlocks.
Next, Tech allows players to use cutting edge skills falmethrower or cryo beam. Other abilities include assault turret, Overload, Incinerate and more.
Finally, Biotic powers return to Andromeda, giving players classic abilities like Push, Pull, Charge, and Nova. New techniques like Lance will be introduced in the game as well.
Since skills are free of class restrictions, players can mix and match combat or tech skills with biotic if they so choose. Once again, variety is the name of Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Mass Effect: Andromeda arrives March 21 in North America, March 23 in Europe.
