Chris Schlerf, the lead writer for Mass Effect Andromeda has announced on Twitter that he has left BioWare. To make it even more interesting, Schlerf also announced his new job: working at Bungie on Destiny.
To confirm what some folks asked about a few months back, I am no longer working on ME:A at BioWare Montreal.

Schlerf mentions that his time at BioWare was a good one, and he is not upset in any way about the departure. He ends his first wave of messages saying he is proud of his work on Mass Effect Andromeda, and fans should get excited about the high-quality game they will soon be playing.
Sincerely one of the best experiences of my career-I'm incredibly grateful to have worked w/ such talented & truly wonderful human beings.

Think MEA is really gonna blow people away; couldn't be prouder to be part of it, & excited like a lil kid to play the final when it's out.

The tweeting continues, as Schlerf then confirms he has a new job at developer Bungie. This means he will probably be joining the Destiny team to work out stories for the upcoming major expansion and sequel.
All that said, very happy to be back in Seattle, working with this scrappy little company called Bungie that some of you may have heard of.

Think we might have some interesting stories to tell...

So what does this mean for Mass Effect Andromeda? Probably nothing. At this point in Mass Effect’s development, the writer’s work has been largely finished. What BioWare is doing now is polishing up gameplay and making everything work together.
