The Nintendo Switch is offering some old-school gamers a treat with the Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 1. For now, only the digital version is available for download. The physical version is planned but its release date isn't confirmed yet. Six games are already available with four more titles waiting for rollout. That means a total of 10 classic games for you to enjoy.
The six games already available are:
- SNK Gals’ Fighters
- The best way to describe this game is that it’s the “Queen of Fighters.”
- Players get to choose from 11 characters with an extra three unlockable ones.
- Samurai Shodown! 2
- Get to dive into a 16-bit battle with your favorite fighter.
- Each character offers two playstyles, which are slash and burst.
- Players who can meet certain requirements get special cards that can power up their characters.
- The King of Fighters R–2
- Form a team of three and see if you have what it takes to reach the top.
- There are a total of 23 fighters to choose from.
- Players can access the Making Mode to edit a fighter.
- The Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny
- The game offers different modes like Story Mode, Survival, and Training.
- The game also offers two mini-games along with power-up scrolls.
- Players can take on other players in VS battles.
- Fatal Fury First Contact
- Get the chance to choose fan favorites Terry, Geese, and Mai Shiranui.
- There are also new characters like Li Xiangfei and Rick Strowd.
- The single-lane fighting makes it easy for beginners to play the game.
- Players can take on friends in 1vs1 action.
- SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millenium
- This collaboration was first released in 1999 and features some of the best fighters from both SNK and Capcom.
- Players can choose from 26 characters.
- Comes with fun features.
