The next Hearthstone adventure should be announced next week, according to an email sent to Polygon from Blizzard . The email says that it will be a “once-in-a-lifetime event that will be full of magic and celebration.” The official announcement will be on Hearthstone’s Twitch stream on Friday, July 29 at 2 a.m. EDT at China’s eSports event, ChinaJoy.
It’s been three months since we got Hearthstone’s last expansion, Whispers Of The Old Gods , and nine months since the last adventure, League of Explorers.
Blizzard has previously stated they plan on releasing two expansions a year, one in the beginning and one at the end, along with one adventure in the middle. A new Hearthstone adventure released soon would fit right into their release cycle.
Rumors have been circulating that the new adventure will take place in the World of Warcraft expansion Karazhan . Blizzard’s email is signed an “old friend” and talks about a party. The old friend is most likely Medivh, and the party is most likely the one in the Karazhan raid castle.
