The chaos-filled open world adventure game Just Cause 4 will be releasing a new, action packed DLC titled Danger Rising. Developer Avalanche Studios and publisher Square Enix have the DLC slated for an August 29 release.
Just Cause 4: Danger Rising will follow Rico Rodriguez’s escape from his old employer, The Agency, who has put out a hit on him. Who could’ve seen that coming, huh? It may seem impossible that Rico will stand a chance in this ordeal. But as always, our trusty action man always manages to pulls off everything with ease thanks to help from his gadgets. This time, a nifty hoverboard is added to his bag of tricks, allowing him to navigate the seas with relative ease. As with all other Just Cause titles, we’re looking at the Hoverboard not as a combat upgrade, but as an addition to the many ways you can traverse the map along with grappling and gliding.
For those who love chaos, fret not as Rico’s arsenal has also been improved with the addition of new weapons such as the powerful Sequoia 370 Mag-Slug, drone-assisted Yellowstone Auto Sniper Rifle, a Cluster Bomb Launcher and the Stormalong Em Zero magnesis rifle that can turn even the largest of tanks into paper-like projectiles.
Lastly, Rico is guided throughout this twister of a journey by his mentor and former Agency operative Tom Sheldon. Sheldon will be accompanying Rico through the eight new story missions included in Just Cause 4: Danger Rising.
Fans can only hope the final DLC of the Just Cause 4: Dare Devils, Demons and Danger Expansion Pass is an enjoyable one, seeing as its first two outings, Los Demonios and Dare Devils of Destruction, are currently sitting at a “Mostly Negative” and “Mixed” Rating on its Steam page, respectively. The game has seen some improvements over time, though, although it remains to be seen if this final DLC can offer players something new to look forward to.
Just Cause 4: Danger Rising will be available for those who purchased the Expansion pass on August 29. For everyone else, the DLC can be purchased separately starting on September 5.
