We are one step closer to having a full League of Legends wrestling team. A fresh set of new luchador skins just hit the PBE and they are muy caliente (sorry about that, couldn’t resist). El Leon Gnar, El Macho Mundo and El Rayo Volibear all feature leotards, masks and crazy props, joining El Tigre Braum and Knockout Lee Sin in the wrestling ring. I’m disappointed that the skins don’t switch their voiceovers to Spanish, but I’ll deal. Expect them to be released when Patch 6.11 drops in a few weeks.
El Leon Gnar, or the lion Gnar, is even cuter than usual in his small form. He has a little mask with white eyeholes and throws a small piece of PVC pipe. When he transforms with rage, he gains a glorious mane and feline facial features. In his giant mode, he throws stairs with caution tape on the side as a warning to others before stepping into the ring with this monster. Alongside El Rayo Volibear, who isn’t out on the PBE yet, he will cost 750 RP.
El Macho Mundo is my favorite of the three; he looks like a cross between Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior, with just a splash of extra machismo. His recall maybe my new favorite in the game, he eats a goddamn chair! He will cost 1350 RP when released, which is a deal for something so truly awesome.
Mundo got brand new VFX for all his spells, because it would just be silly if a wrestler threw cleavers. Instead, he throws a belt, a ringside bell, a chair and a bat, all chosen at random, appearing in his hand whenever he casts the spell. His aura now has little fists rotating around him and his ultimate throws down a small purple ring. I already have Corporate Mundo, but I don’t think I’ll be able to resist buying El Macho Mundo.
