PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will get their first chance to play Metal Gear Survive later this month, Konami announced on Thursday, during a four-day beta scheduled to begin in two weeks. But PC gamers will have to keep waiting for their own opportunity to check out the first new Metal Gear since franchise creator Hideo Kojima left Konami in 2015.

Konami announced the beta on the official Metal Gear Survive website. We don’t have specific launch times for each region/platform yet; however, Konami says the beta will run from Jan. 18 through Jan 21. Testers will get access to an incomplete build featuring three missions and two maps from the campaign. All of the content will be available to play cooperatively, in groups of two to four, although you can presumably complete each mission by yourself too. But Konami hasn’t said anything else about the content of the Metal Gear Survive beta.

Those who participate in the pre-launch testing will receive a handful of in-game items when the full version of Metal Gear Survive hits PC and consoles in late February. Beta participants will receive a FOX HOUND name plate to customize the UI, a novelty Metal Gear REX mask for their Survive character and a gray bandana for those who prefer simpler face accessories. Konami says PS4 owners don’t need PlayStation Plus to participate, but Xbox One owners will need an active Xbox Live subscription. There’s no word on if or when to expect a PC beta.

For an early look at Metal Gear Survive, take a few minutes to check out the gameplay released last month. Then head down to the comments and let us know if you’ll be participating in the MGS beta when it begins in two weeks.

Metal Gear Survive is in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The console beta will run Jan. 18-21 and the game debuts Feb. 20, 2018.
