A new trademark linking to the Naruto games has been filed by Bandai Namco.
According to Anime News Network, the new Naruto trademark was filed under “Road to Boruto” and “Narutimate Storm Trilogy”
Other trademarks filed and made public on the same dates under Bandai Namco Entertainment's name include "Break Edition," "Break Pass," "Build Absolute," "Build Beginning," "Build Evolution," "Build Kingdom" and "Build Rising."
With the main Naruto manga finished and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 pegged as the last in the series, it’s not surprising Bandai Namco will continue the popular fighting game in some capacity. And with the inclusion of Boruto and other next-generation ninja in the new Boruto manga, the pieces are there for a new video game.
Bandai Namco even included Boruto and Sarada, Sasuke’s daughter, in Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 as pre-order bonuses.
A “Road to Boruto” fighting game can fill-in the gaps between the main Naruto story and currently monthly Boruto series with older versions of favorite characters complete with new outrageously powerful jutsu.
As for the “Narutimate Storm Trilogy” trademark, it seems like a collection of past Ultimate Ninja Storm games for those who missed out when they were first released.
However, this isn’t the first time Bandai Namco’s trademarks warranted some new Naruto game speculation. Back in September 2015, Bandai Namco trademarked new video game titles that involved Naruto.
According to Gematsu , Bandai Namco Entertainment filed three trademarks. These trademarks include: "Narutimate Braves," "Narutimate Blazing," and "Narutimate Wars."
