After a couple of months on the advanced server, the revamped version of Hanabi is finally available in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang ’s original server via Patch 1.7.44.
Moonton Studios has made some considerable changes to Hanabi since her revamped version was introduced. One of the most notable is that her passive, Ninjutsu: Petal Barrage, no longer requires a toggle to take effect. This means that all of Hanabi’s basic attacks and abilities will now passively trigger Petal Blades. Furthermore, Petal Blades that bounce off of enemies can now trigger attack effects.
Hanabi’s second skill, Ninjutsu: Soul Scroll, now marks targets hit with the projectile. These targets take full damage on the next Petal Blade bounce.
Forbidden Jutsu: Higanbana, Hanabi’s ultimate ability, can now bounce off nearby targets as well. Because of this mechanic, Higanbana’s area of effect is visibly smaller than before.
Aside from the revamped Hanabi, Patch 1.7.44 also adds some fresh content. For instance, the new Swift Crossbow gives marksman heroes that rely on attack speed a noticeable boost, allowing them to excel in the early-to-mid game.
The Swift Crossbow is only meant to be used at the beginning stages of the game. Moonton advises players to transition to Corrosion Scythe, then purchase the Demon Hunter Sword, and the Golden Staff later on. However, the downside of this setup is that without crit-enhancing equipment, the player's late-game burst damage potential is reduced significantly. So, players will have to decide whether to focus entirely on attack speed or take the traditional route and spend money on equipment that increases crit damage.
