A new No Man’s Sky trailer has been leaked online, and this one shows off how combat will work in the massive space game. The trailer can be seen below, assuming it hasn’t been taken down yet.
As the No Man’s Sky trailer shows, there are two major forms of combat: in space and on a planet. Space combat looks fast and frenetic, with smaller ships zipping in and out of big freighters. There were a few different weapon types on display, and it seems players can pick up items from destroyed ships as seen around the 0:27-0:28 mark in the video.
On the ground, combat seems to be at a slower pace. Down here, fighting seems to be more for survival from robots and alien wildlife. Again, multiple weapons were on display, so expect there to be upgrades to your personal firepower.
One thing the trailer didn’t really show us is if there will be different weapon types. The ships seem to have guns, but will they have rockets or something else to fight with? Will players get grenades or maybe even a melee weapon when fighting on the ground? That still remains a mystery.
Based on the start of the trailer, the screen says “Explore, Fight, Trade, Survive.” We’ve already seen the Explore trailer release, and this is the leaked Fight trailer. Expect there to be at least two more trailers for No Man’s Sky focusing on trading and surviving before the game is released.
No Man’s Sky will be coming to PS4 and PC Aug. 8.
