With the next-gen consoles approaching their launch, many AAA video game developers have been offering next-gen upgrades for their current games. The next game that's joining the list of games receiving a next-gen upgrade is Hello Games' No Man's Sky.
No Man's Sky is one of those few games that had a messy launch, but went on to become surprisingly beloved. And now it's exciting to see that developer Hello Games is taking No Man's Sky to the next level on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Hello Games confirmed the news with a Next Generation Trailer, which shows off the graphical improvements that players can expect from the next-gen upgrade.
Hello Games also shared details of the next-gen upgrade in an official blog, and there's quite a lot that No Man's Sky fans can expect in Update 3.10, including the following:
- Fuller Worlds: No Man's Sky on the next-gen consoles will feature a denser environment, thicker grass, flowers, fungi, and rocks via high-resolution textures.
- Complex Base Construction: Thanks to the power of next-gen consoles, players will now be able to build complex bases.
- Save Transfer: Players can easily transition from PS4 to PS5 and likewise from Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S without worrying about losing progress.
- 32 Player Multiplayer: With more power comes more possibilities, and so is the case with No Man's Sky. On the next-generation consoles, players will be able to matchmake in sessions with up to 32 players.
- Crossplay: Players enjoying the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S can also explore the universe with players across all available platforms.
- 4K and 60FPS: Enjoy No Man's Sky like never before on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with up to 4K resolution and 60FPS performance.
- PS5 Trigger Feedback: Haptic feedback on the PS5 controllers will make the game feel more immersive.
- PS5 3D Audio: With 3D Audio, take your planetary exploration to the level.
- Other next-gen enhancements for No Man's Sky include PSVR, Ultra Visuals, and faster load times.
No Man's Sky is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game will get a free next-generation upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X on November 12 and November 10, respectively.
