If you want to get an Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, but you don’t have the computer to run it, there will soon be bundles to get you ready for the next big gaming experience. These bundles, according to Oculus, will be available starting Feb. 16.
To start, three bundles have been approved by Oculus to best run the Rift. One bundle features an ASUS PC, one is Alienware and the third is Dell. The pre-orders for all three bundles will begin on Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. EST, and the bundles will start at $1499.
Pre-orders will be available through Amazon, Best Buy and the Microsoft store.
Like the other Oculus Rift pre-orders, the PC bundle will also come with an Xbox One controller, a copy of EVE: Valkyrie and a copy of Lucky’s Tale all included.
If you have already pre-ordered an Oculus Rift, but now you want to upgrade your computer, you can also get in on the discounts. Check your order status online, then opt into partner offers. Doing this will send offer codes to your order status page starting Feb. 16.
If you aren’t sure if you’ll need to upgrade your computer, check out the system specifications released by Oculus, or try out the Oculus Compatibility Check. Just a heads up, that second link will automatically download the Compatibility check.
So what do you think? Are you interested in getting one of these PC bundles to play with an Oculus Rift? Is your computer already good enough to go? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
