Developer Starry Studio just shared the 2025 roadmap for open-world multiplayer survival craft "Once Human," which shows new scenarios, a mobile version, and more.
Arguably the most noteworthy detail shared in the roadmap was the release date for the game's mobile version. On top of this, the studio also revealed that the game is getting custom servers and a lot more exciting features.
Once Human 2025 Roadmap
"Once Human" was originally released earlier this year and has since become quite a successful game, ranking among the top sellers on Steam. Starry Studio also consistently put out regular updates for the game that kept players engaged and hooked.
While the game will have three new scenarios, these will not be coming until much later in 2025, as the expected release is within the third quarter. Players now know the names of the new scenarios: Code: Purification, Code: Deviation, and Code: Broken.
The developer also shared the details of the new scenarios to give players some information about what they can expect when they actually come out.
The first, Code: Purification, is a scenario where you are tasked with preventing pollution from taking over the environment, according to WCCFTech.
The second, Code: Deviation, focuses on the ally Deviations, which are some of the most popular characters in the game. Here, you will have to hunt and capture these so you can fuse them together in order to create new Deviations.
Brand New Content
The last scenario, Code: Broken, is a PvP free-for-all mode where players can battle against each other over 10 days. It will have randomized events, resources, and apocalyptic superweapons to make things more exciting.
The reveal of the roadmap also included an announcement that "Once Human" is jumping to consoles sometime in the future. The developers plan to provide full cross-platform support to let players from all platforms play together, God is a Geek said.
There is also the Visional Wheel for "Once Human," which will be launching on Jan. 16, 2024. This will appear in existing scenarios and introduce brand-new content to familiar situations. It will force players to quickly adapt and create new combat strategies.
On top of all these, there will be a holiday event that will run across Christmas and the New Year to let players celebrate and experience the festivities.
