In case you didn't know, there's an open beta currently running in Dying Light 2 Stay Human. This new co-op focused experience is called Tower Raid and gives players the chance to try out a new game mode. This being an open beta, it also serves as a way for players to provide feedback as a way to develop it even further.

Tower Raid is a new mode where players form a team and explore floors that are filled with traps, surprises, and hordes of zombies. In addition, each raid offers players a unique set of challenges. Those able to hurdle the obstacles and reach the roof get to fight the boss and winning allows players to receive some valuable rewards.

The open beta started June 27 and is scheduled to run until July 18. There's going to be new content released each week to ensure that the gameplay experience is truly dynamic. Here's what players can look forward to:

  • June 27 (Tower Raid launch)
    • 12 floors
    • 20 modifiers
    • 5 new levels at Jai's to progress through and 5 new rewards to unlock
  • July 4 (Update week 2)
    • New "Elite Mode" difficulty
    • Complete 4 (up from 3) floors against harder enemies and with tactical stamina on, but for better rewards
    • 3 new floors (15 in total now)
    • 10 new modifiers (30 in total now)
    • 4 new rewards (up to a total of 9)
  • July 11 (Update week 3)
    • 7 new modifiers (up to a total of 37)
    • 3 new rewards (up to total of 12)
    • 2x Jai RP reward for completing Tower Raids

By the way, to access the Tower Raid, players need to unlock the second region on the map. Once that's done, they'll have to visit Jai and then complete the "Lost Armory" quest. After that the Survivor Missions and Tower Raid should be open.
