One Piece: Burning Blood is set to release May 31 and tells the story of the popular manga/anime with stunning visuals and a fun fighting system.
But what can fans of the manga/anime fighting game expect?
For one, more than 30 fighters and a cinematic story mode that tells the story of Luffy and his straw hat pirates. Bandai Namco has also just announced the inclusion of Blackbeard to the roster, along with a brand new story trailer that shows the Marineford arc, the arc that changed the status quo of the One Piece manga.
The newly released trailer does spoil major events of One Piece, so if you don’t want to know what happens, turn back now.
The brand new One Piece: Burning Blood story trailer is long, and pretty much shows all of the important events of the Marineford arc, especially when it comes to Luffy’s brother, Ace.
Players will also be able to experience the Marineford Arc from a completely new perspective. Paramount War mode is a solo story mode that allows for new, different perspectives on the story arc.
There are four separate campaigns featuring Monkey D. Luffy, Whitebeard, Portgas D. Ace, and Akainu, each with their own series of iconic battles and beautiful cut scenes. This seems similar to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, particularly how the story branches off to tell the story from Naruto and Sasuke’s point of view.
