Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced that One Piece Odyssey Deluxe Edition is headed to the Nintendo Switch this July 26. With this, players on the platform get to experience an original story that's based in One Piece canon. That's not all since they also get to take control of their favorite Straw Hat Crew member.

The Mystery of Waford
In the game, the Thousand Sunny is nearly sunk and has been left in tatters. This has resulted in the Straw Hat Crew finding themselves on a strange island known as Waford. The game introduces a new chapter for the Straw Hat Crew and offers an original story that's been intertwined with memories of past adventures. Players get to take on their favorite crew member as they go on a quest and do battle against powerful enemies in order to learn more about what Waford is hiding and ultimately find a way to get off the island. One of the interesting features of the game is that players get to meet new characters that's been developed under the guidance of none other than series creator Eiichiro Oda.
Switch Version
The Nintendo Switch version of the game comes with all original content that's been released along with the Scramble Area Battle and even the Dramatic Scene combat systems, to name a few. Also offered is the One Piece Odyssey Deluxe Edition which contains:
- One Piece Odyssey base game
- Expansion DLC
- One Piece Reunion of Memories
- Deluxe Bonus
- City of Water Outfit Set
- Traveling Outfit Set
- Sniper King's Traveling Outfit
The game is based on the One Piece series created by Eiichiro Oda and considered to be one of the top-selling manga title of all time. There's also an anime series produced by Toei Animation and premiered on Japanese TV back in October 1999. The series follows Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew as they go on an epic quest to look for the legendary treasure of the former King of the Pirates Gol.D.Roger known as the "One Piece." Since the original release of the manga and the launch of the anime show, it has since become a global franchise which includes 15 feature films along with video games and licensed merchandise.
One Piece Odyssey Deluxe Edition is already available for the PC via Steam as well as the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series X/S.
