Are you one of those people who drunkenly argues that Breaking Bad is the best show of all-time at every house party you go to? Well good news, there’s more where that came from. No sequel is in the works (nor should it ever be), but Jesse Pinkman is returning for a new series that looks equally as thrilling. It’s called The Path, and it stars your favorite degenerate actor, Aaron Paul.
Produced by Hulu, The Path has just released its first full-length trailer much to the delight of television fans. If you’re into shows like The Leftovers or Hannibal, you’re going to want to keep this one on your radar. The Path centers around a cult, and stars Hugh Dancy alongside Paul and Michelle Monaghan. Where do I recognize Mr. Dancy’s name, you ask? That’s right, NBC’s Hannibal. Still not sold? Take a look at the trailer for The Path, below:
‘The Path’ Hulu Trailer
As you can see, the trailer for The Path looks pretty intense. Netflix and Amazon may bathe in all the glory for now, but Hulu also appears to be making strides to be taken seriously as a content provider. The streaming service already won over a large fan base by renewing The Mindy Project, and have impressed with original programming of its own like Casual and Difficult People.
An official synopsis states that The Path will follow “a family at the center of a controversial cult as they struggle with relationships, faith and power. Each episode takes an in-depth look at the gravitational pull of belief and what it means to choose between the life we live and the life we want.” Kathleen Turner, Minka Kelly, Sarah Jones, Emma Greenwell (Shameless) and Rockmond Dunbar (Sons of Anarchy) round off the impressive cast.
The Path is created by playwright Jessica Goldberg and is set to debut on Hulu on March 30.
