During an Active Time Report Event at Tokyo Game Show , Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata spared a few words to discuss how the PlayStation 4 Pro would work with what may be Square Enix’s most anticipated title yet.
Tabata mentioned he was aware of the PlayStation 4 Pro’s increased power, and while it takes time to tune Final Fantasy XV to take advantage of that power, Final Fantasy XV will support PlayStation 4 Pro when the game finally launches on Nov. 29.

In other Final Fantasy XV news, Final Fantasy XV will not be fully open-world:
“That way, you won’t get bored of an open-world as the rest of the game tightens, so we made it in a way that you’ll also get to advance through it as you have in conventional Final Fantasy games. If you play through the first half and only the main route of the second half, I believe the estimated play-time sits at around 40 to 50 hours,” said Tabata.
As for the PlayStation 4 Pro, it will not be upgradable. In a Digital Spy interview with top Sony exec Andrew House, he was asked whether he could ever foresee a PlayStation with upgradable components. House’s reply? “It's very tough for me to envisage that at this point.”
