PlayStation Vue, the cable-replacement service launched by Sony Interactive Entertainment back in 2014, no longer requires a Sony device to join, the company announced this week. After numerous requests from the community, along with outsiders interested in joining it, PlayStation Vue is now available on a variety of Roku-branded devices. And it’s going to keep spreading.

According to a new update on the PlayStation Blog, authored by PlayStation Vue Head of Product Dan Myers, Sony’s cable-replacement can now be accessed via the Roku Streaming Stick, Roku TV and other Roku Streaming devices. Those who already have a PlayStation Vue account can download the app on their preferred Roku gadget, login to the service and start watching live television. The app is also available to those who don’t have an account yet. You’ll just need to sign up for a seven day trial, or monthly service if you’ve already tried out Vue on another device, to start watching.

Here’s the current pricing breakdown, via Sony :

  • Access : 55+ channels, including live cable TV, movies, and sports channels for $29.99 per month ($39.99 in cities with major live local broadcast stations*)

  • Core : 70+ channels, including all the channels from Access with the addition of live national and regional sports networks for $34.99 per month ($44.99 in cities with major live local broadcast stations*)

  • Elite : 100+ channels, featuring all the channels from Core with the addition of top movie and entertainment channels for $44.99 per month ($54.99 in cities with major live local broadcast stations*)

Best of all, Myers says fans of the Android ecosystem can expect similar support to arrive next week. PlayStation Vue will apparently be available on any/all Android devices running KitKat (or newer builds), with built-in support for Chromecast, opening the door to millions of mobile users who’ve yet to purchase a PS3, PS4 or Sony television.
